About Me
Writing has opened so many windows and doors for me. Through it, all possibilities exist. The freedom that the 'net has given me in pursuing my hobby has been invaluable -- the research tools, the language, the culture, the art -- it's all at my fingertips.
As far as my preferred choice for writing: that would have to be the action/adventure genre. Time period doesn't matter. Whether it's World War I, World War II, the present or the far future, there's always a fandom to satisfy my needs.
In terms of other interests, old-time radio programmes, specifically those broadcast in the 1930s and early 1940s. The world was not nearly as naive as our parents and grandparents have led us to believe.
While you could call me a fan, having stepped back from much of the insanity excesses of fandom, I'm not sure that word still applies. There's plenty of enjoyment to be found in reminiscing about programmes whose halcyon days were long before my own arrival on this plane of existence. Stimulating, intriguing and interesting conversations will always remain fun, and I'm grateful for the many people I've met along the way. The beat may be eclectic, but it's always nice to find folks who enjoy the rhythm.
Outside of everyone saying, "you've got to have a Live Journal", I've never really known what to do with this space. LJ covers such a wide range of topics and interests that I often feel overwhelmed here, which explains why this account is my "annex" to my more frequently posted though not by much Journal Fen account.
If you feel motivated to friend me because our interests cross, I'm usually more than happy to do the same.
